Switching from engineering to insurance was a big decision. I had always wanted to try something new, and I saw insurance as an industry that is very important to the global economy and society. In addition, I thought that it would be a great way to develop my career. I spent almost seven years working as a structural engineer, and I was a little worried about changing careers. It felt like a step into the unknown, and I wasn't sure how I was going to make the change. Luckily, Sandra got in touch and told me about the opportunities in insurance. I think that my engineering background has given me a strong foundation in technical concepts, which will be very useful in understanding insurance policies, especially in property and construction.
